Most photo booth pricing pages show a range and then ask you to fill out a form before you learn anything useful. Here are our actual rates and the items that move a photo booth budget. Every price below is a Peek-A-Booth rate. Wider market numbers appear later, labeled as industry ranges so nobody confuses them with ours.
What Peek-A-Booth Charges
Delivery, setup, teardown, props, a lighting kit, a shimmery backdrop, a personalized template and a certificate of insurance come with every package, along with an on-site attendant. The exception is the Vogue Magazine Box, where guests usually shoot on their own phones and an attendant is an add-on.
- Digital Photo Booth: $300 for 2 hours, $400 for 3 hours, $500 for 4 hours, extra hours $100. No printer. Unlimited pictures, GIFs and boomerangs, shared instantly by QR or text.
- Open Air Photo Booth: $400 for 2 hours, $550 for 3 hours, $700 for 4 hours, extra hours $150. DSLR and studio strobe, unlimited pictures, instant 2x6 prints plus QR sharing.
- 360 Video Booth: $500 for 2 hours, $700 for 3 hours, $900 for 4 hours, extra hours $200. Slow motion rotating video, unlimited videos, one song choice, QR or text sharing.
- Vogue Magazine Box: $1,200 for 4 hours, $1,500 for 5 hours, $1,800 for 6 hours, extra hours $300. A life-size illuminated box that puts each guest on a magazine cover, customized with 4 to 5 lines of magazine statements plus the event name, date and names.
Why Industry Ranges Are So Wide
Industry ranges run from a few hundred dollars to several thousand for one event. Big metro markets price higher than small ones. Some companies quote a base rate and then bill setup, an attendant or an idle hour separately, so the first number you see is not the invoice number. Treat any published range as a starting point and ask what sits inside it. Our rates above are flat for the hours listed.
The Details That Move Your Quote
- Hours: 2 hours suits a birthday or an office open house. For a wedding, 3 hours works better, because the booth goes quiet during dinner and speeches no matter when it opens.
- Guest count: plan on roughly 40 to 60 sessions in a 2 hour block once you allow for props, retakes and a short line. Around 150 guests and up, the third hour is what keeps that line down.
- Travel: free within 40 miles of the main city, with a flat fee beyond that. Confirm the venue address before comparing quotes, since a barn an hour out of town is not priced like a downtown hotel.
- Prints: physical 2x6 strips come with the Open Air booth only. If you want something guests carry home that night, that decides which booth you book, not just what you pay.
Floor Space Is Part of the Price
The fastest way to waste money is to book a booth the room cannot hold. The Digital booth has the smallest footprint of the four, which is why it works in tight bars and small offices. The Open Air booth needs about 8x8 ft. The Vogue Magazine Box needs about 10x10 ft with 9 ft of clearance overhead, so check ceiling height and low soffits first. The 360 Video Booth needs about 10x10 ft of clear floor, and it stays clear the whole rental, since the camera arm rotates the entire time. Ask your venue for a room diagram rather than a square footage number, and check that your chosen spot has an outlet nearby and is not the path guests use to reach the bar.
Things We Do Not Rent
We do not run mirror booths. We do not run a Glambot or high-speed camera arm. We do not do green screen. If a competing quote includes one of those, you are not comparing the same product, and the price gap may be explained entirely by that. For a clean, consistent background, the shimmery backdrop in every package does that job.
Deposit and Payment Schedule
A $200 deposit holds your date. The balance is due 7 days before the event. If your venue requires a certificate of insurance, ask your coordinator early, because plenty of hotels will not let a vendor load in without a COI on file.
For a firm number, send the date, the venue address and the guest count. Those decide the hours, the travel fee and which booth fits. Call +1 (800) 709-8579 or email info@peekaboothusa.com.
